Brand Education

BPI has considerable experience and expertise in the following four areas:

  • Technical development
  • Design
  • Online Marketing
  • Education and E-Learning

These four elements are brought together to provide brand education - or what we call BrandEd.

Branded Approach

BrandEd is built around the following idea:

tell someone, they forget;
show someone, they remember;
involve someone, they understand.

The purpose of a website is rarely to promote awareness of the brand or the main product offering. This is the role of advertising and other promotional activities.

Whereas, advertising promotes awareness, a website gets them involved with the brand - and builds on their understanding of the brand and its offering.

Doing this correctly, and applying the principles of brand education will ensure you are successful.

Understanding the visitor's needs

In order to ensure a website will involve the visitor, the goals of the site must first be established. These are based on the reason the visitor comes to the site and what you want them to achieve during their visit to the site in question. To do this you need to determine their 'learning' objectives.

In the same way as a teacher has learning objectives for a particular lesson, and the activities and topics covered work towards meeting these objectives, the purpose and role of the site needs to be established.

Ensuring the visitor is the focus

Once these objectives have been outlined, the content and structure of this content needs to be focused to meet these objectives.

Sound pedagogical principles can be applied to ensure objectives are achieved. Different people absorb information in different ways and want to interact with an organisation in a way that suits them.

Central to 'brand education', or BrandEd, Big Picture Interactive ensures that these different learning styles are catered for in the way the content is presented and delivered to the visitor -the potential customer. If the information is presented in a way that makes it easier for them to understand, they are more likely to move from being an inquisitive visitor into a customer.

From this stage the website's goal is to promote further understanding and ultimately loyalty and long-term customers that understand and believe in the brand.
