Profile
- The Royal Geographical Society has an international membership of over 13,300. As the largest geographical society in Europe, it supports research, education and training, together with the wider public understanding and enjoyment of Geography.
The Challenge
- To provide access to the Society's heritage archives for learners, in schools, college and universities and at home
- Themed content to encourage repeat visits
- To target teachers with classroom resources to involve and enthuse our audience, especially young people, about our shared heritage
- The brand new micro site was developed as part of the £7 million 'Unlocking the Archives' project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund
