- The Royal Geographical Society has an international membership of over 13,300. As the largest geographical society in Europe, it supports research, education and training, together with the wider public understanding and enjoyment of Geography.
The Challenge
- To reinforce RGS's reputation as the leading authority on geographical issues
- To demonstrate to the public that geography is about a lot more than maps and relate the subject to topical news stories
- To provide an on line resource for members
- To provide learning resources for schools
- To provide restricted premium content to subscribers

- Hot topic of the moment with bulletin boards to capture general public feedback and enable interaction

- Created a subscriber list and an area of the site dedicated to providing premium content for subscribers
