One of our biggest success stories has been Earls Court and Olympia (EC&O). The site was redesigned in 2007 and last year an online marketing campaign to increase traffic to the site was effectively launched.

The site rose through the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPS) for all the key UK search engines, to feature strongly for their most important search terms.

The ranking was then further improved through a strategy of continuous Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). BPI are presently working on delivering a comprehensive social networking strategy involving bookmarking and API integration.

EC&O Venues owns and manages the UK’s premier exhibition and conference venues. The business comprises Earls Court, Olympia and the Brewery, London’s leading venues for exhibitions, conferences and special events. The three venues hold over 1,000 events each year, attracting over 3 million visitors and 30,000 exhibiting companies.

The Challenge:

EC&O Venues challenged Big Picture Interactive (BPI) to structure and design a site that delivers value for all key audiences: visitors, organisers and exhibitors.

What we did:

Using our Amber Content Management System, we created a site that can be easily updated by EC&O Venues staff. The same system was used to create an Intranet and extranet site to reach out to all their employees and service partners.

The site integrates with EC&O Venues' third party providers, so that when a customer books tickets for an event, they can easily add parking and accommodation too.

A crucial part of the work was to ensure the site leads users through research, purchase or registering, and allows EC&O Venues to focus on relationship-building for the future.
