Life in the Victorian Age

27th September 2008

To support the Learning Zone area of the Geffrye Museum website, BPI were invited to create an interactive virtual tour so that users could experience how Victorian’s lived in the 1870’s. The tour is aimed primarily at KS2 and KS3 pupils and the tour highlights all the differences between modern life and life in the 1870’s.

The Flash based, non linear interactive tour allows the user to follow the modern day characters who have travelled back in time, looking for their dog Sam who is a familiar character, both in the Museum and within the Kids Zone on the website.

Objects throughout the house are animated in detail and information about them is displayed when they are selected. There are questions throughout the house for users to answer to help them get to the end and find Sam.
