Submerged in Smartville
2nd September 2006
Big Picture Interactive has designed the latest in a series of sites for VTech electronic learning toys, pushing online user and product interaction to new limits.
Smartville is a range of fun, role-play play sets for 1-3 year olds.
Based on a town, the sets include a rescue fire station, treehouse, post office and ice cream shop, and lead children aged 12 months and above through a multitude of learning topics such as phonics, objects, numbers, colours and animals.
BrandEd
We used our unique BrandEd approach to focus on delivering a 'brand education' to VTech's customers through high levels of user interaction and involvement.
First we set learning objectives for the new microsite and then combined our marketing, education, design and technical capabilities to devise, design and build a solution to meet those objectives - an online recreation of Smartville using interactive Flash technology and animation.
The result: a vivid and beautifully illustrated tour gives visitors a hands-on guide through all seven Smartville sets. Along the way, visitors can interact with characters and pieces to produce the same responses and sounds as the real toys.
All our BrandEd strategies are based on Confucius' age-old principle:
Tell people….they forget;
Show people….they remember;
Involve people….they understand.
By promoting a deeper understanding of our clients' products and services to their target markets, we help our BrandEd clients increase their sales both on and offline and encourage brand loyalty.
