An online treasure hunt, with clues hidden across the CITV website, has been created to promote the new Nancy Drew movie by Warner Bros. Big Picture Interactive (BPI) produced designs and functionality for the Flash-based game.
Five characters from the film, which opens during half-term, have hidden themselves inside the website, and visitors are encouraged to find the characters and click on them. As you click on them, they reappear in a box on the right hand side of the screen.
Once all five characters are found, participants have the chance to win signed posters or a Nintendo DS and Brain Training game.
BPI produced the five characters, hidden in magnifying glasses, as well as two promotional banners, a button, the box where the characters appear once found, and an interstitial page – a page that appears before the CITV website itself so that visitors are alerted to the movie and the competition.
